We have waited almost 6 months for this trip to happen, we booked the flights and hotel back in June.  The 6 months wait was unbearable and it was made worse by the fact that someone went to Boracay Island before me!!  I was the one who told her I was going and then she booked her trip to happen 1 month before me..  I was so fuming mad!!  Arggg!!

Anyhow, we took the longer route by flying to Manila and transiting instead of doing the direct flights which cost cheaper.  First reason is, we will be flying to Caticlan Airport which is just a 15mins ferry ride away from Boracay.  If we were to fly direct to the bigger airport (Kalibo) via tiger, we would then need to take a coach ride for about 2.5 - 3 hours.  Second reason is, the timings from Tigerair sucks!  It departs SG in the morning around 8am, after the flight and coach ride, it will be almost evening time by the time we reach Boracay.  And the flying coming back to SG departs at around 8 or 9am in the morning, this means we need to leave the hotel at around 4am to take the coach to Kalibo airport, this means we are kind of cutting short our holiday..  Arriving late in the evening and departing before daybreak.  No no no...

For us, we will be taking Cebu Pacific,

Sin / Manila / Caticlan (depart 1.30am, arrive Caticlan around 9.30am)

Caticlan / Cebu / Singapore (depart 3.30pm, arrive Sin around 11.30pm)

Finally arrived at Caticlan Aiport.  We took Sin / Manila / Caticlan

 

 

After this, we took a short ferry ride to Boracay!
